I have always been a fan of scars...
My wife has a great big (four inches long, one inch wide) scar on her upper arm (she almost lost her arm in a horse riding accident). It is clearly visible whenever she wears summer dresses, T-shirts, etc.
I think it is very cool that she has never tried to disguise or hide it. To me, it is a lot like a tattoo. It marks her personal history on her body in an indelible fashion.
I don't know what your scars are from or what they look like but sometimes it is just a matter of taking a different approach to see the positive.
