Yeah, introducing a damage or crashing system would take a very long time to do if they wanted it perfect. Gran Turismo is a driving simulator, not necessarily a crash simulator (even though crashing comes with driving, of course). Gran Turismo's main idea is to make these cars handle just like in real life, but through a game controller. I like crashes in games and damage on cars as much as the next person, but I have to say that trying to implement it into a Gran Turismo game would probably mess it up. The handling is too good right now for them to have to rework it to add damage and crashing engines. I can't wait until GT4; it's looking really good right now.
