I'm quite the reader in general, so reading a lot online or on paper doesn't bother me, especailly if it's a topic I find interesting or intruiging.
However, for things like politics, I just get the feeling that if I AM reading the posts, I'm the only one...and if I were to respond to anything said, it would go unheard....most political threads on the internet, I find, tend to be a bunch of people saying what they think (which they firmly believe before even reading the post) and not expecting anybody to challange them or even wanting to try and accept whatever anybody offers against their arguments.
In real life, I love political conversations/arguments, but on the internet, I find them tedious and frustrating.
For most other topics though, I'm quite tolerant.
