Why is it so many movie trailers use scenes that are never in their movies? And scientology... isn't that the religion that L. Ron Hubbard made up in his basement?

Yeah it was something to market his books and publishing company. I don't put down religions but I have heard way too weird of stuff from the people that are scientologists. I bought a Battlefield Earth poster from the company and they never stopped mailing me stuff, most of it was scientology pamphlets and asking me to join.
