From the ashes rises the phoenix
Sometimes hidden in grief and sorrow
A catalyst for change in foundations gone
Burned memories of failure hold steady steps
Caution slowly nourishes rebirth of dreams
In all it's glory, the phoenix spreads wings
and soars away across the endless sky

Jack stopped by the travel agency on his walk around town that day, the last item on his list recieving a check as the welcome bell rang. Inside the receptionist looked up and motioned him to her desk. "What can I help you with today?"
Jack thought for a quick moment, hoping this outcome would be better than the previous places he had tried. Taking a big breath, he told her in a rush of his plans to travel inside the Bermuda Triangle and try to find all the missing planes that had gone down. "The only thing I'm missing," Jack said, "is the insurance on the off chance that something happens."
When the receptionist realized Jack was indeed completely serious, her amused grin morphed into a slightly worried face. "Sorry, we can't insure you for a journey like that. I'm sure you understand".
Sighing, Jack mumbled a quick thanks and left the store, frustration crumpling the list in his hand. Looks like he was just going to have to go after the treasure the old fashioned way.

In a welcome embrace I escape
the troubles of my world behind
These ivory keys beg for my touch
Each caress slowly clears my mind
Some days we speak of solemn duty
other times cry for days gone by
Yet each time our ways must part
I can't help but regretfully sigh
---------------------------------------------
This world of silence weighs upon me
The first sound of balls dropping
Difference shines like night and day
Can't seem to get enough of what I miss
Even the muted garbage truck dumping
can be a silly symphony to my ears
