Oh, my. That explains how two girls could be drawn away without fighting or running. This one strikes too close to home for me when a parole system fails to monitor a felon adequately, and a mother who allows an abuser back in her life.

I feel great sorrow for the two families.

In answer to Mal's question, this man's history of violence would be reason enough for me to bring him in for questioning. The police are holding something back, so I should withhold judgement until charges are made tomorrow.
