I Hope this police department has some outside help. This being a small "safe' community, even with their 97 sex offenders, I can't imagine that there would be a goodly number of murders, they are probably not equipped to deal with investigating such a crime.
If I remember correctly, the police in Bolder, did a log of bungling in the investigation of the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey, and her murderer or murderers have never been brought to justice.
