This is going to sound asinine, but if you are desparate and have a lot of time...
1. Hook up MP3 player headphone jack to computer Microphone port
2. Open up windows sound recorder (Programs->Start->Accesories)
3. Press record on the sound record, and play 1 song on the mp3 player
4. Save the WAV file.
5. Download a program to convert WAV to MP3.
Now the sound quality will degrade a bit, but I was actually suprised by how little when I did it.
I did it as a proof of point to a friend who was going on and on about DRM.
