I'm a relatively new PC gamer...but I have to say the games that converted me from the console were:

NeverWinter Nights
and
CITY OF HEROES!!!!

City of Heroes is a FANTASTIC game...online based, so it's very interactive. There is a monthly fee, but I have to admit that I don't mind paying it because it so darn FUN...instead of going to a movie once a month, I play CoH

As for the Console... I really like Balder's Gate for PS2 and for XBOX I would recommend FABLE

As you can see I tend to be more into RPG's
