I used to have a Yepp-EM32 way back in the day (it was a parallel interface...pre-USB). Back then the Yepp would only let you copy one way; you could only delete files from the MP3 player, not copy them back onto the computer.

I have no clue if the Yepp 700 is the same way.

Some people with way too much time on their hands managed to write an open-source implementation of the Yepp protocol for linux (called "nope") that I believe let you copy stuff back off your Yepp.

This information may be completely useless to you...but then again maybe not ;-)
