We also say (but more rarely).. "I think it's rooted"
Meaning that some device is totally wrecked. The lawnmower, office printer, or similar. Similar to saying "I think it's f####d", but not as rude/vulgar or extreme. It's the sort of thing that a tradesperson might say - more likely among outer suburbs types or government school educated. You don't hear either word much in CBD white-collar environments. (In fact there's very little AU slang in those environments)
Occasionally you might hear
"reckon she'd be a good root".
or
"XX is an easy root"
