Clearly he was being protective of his "seed" and did not want a kid, the woman clearly agreed (otherwise he would be riding bearback and trying for a kid)... if the woman then decides to have that kid is it really the guys fault? He was taking precautions to not have it (and don't say he shouldn't be having sex, many women have sex who don't want kids either).
