I wholeheartedly reccomend the rodenator (mentioned above) if you don't want to start fumbling with the right mix of propane and air (it's 4% propane, 96% air, if you're crazy enough to try.) Other solutions include tailpipe hose, homemade smoke bombs (or commercial ones, but not as much fun.)

I've heard of electronic thumpers you can put in the ground that will repell them as well. Might attract spice worms though.
