New Socket T Fan for a forum newbie :D

I'm new to the forum and all, but hey, this isn't the place for introduction.

I just wanted to post that a few months ago I had destroyed the fan on my super cool stock intel HSF (which by reviews appears to be the best fan for the prescott 'volcanoes'). I was a complete idiot and went to unplug a drive while the machine was running -- that's just short of a darwin award right there!
Anyway, I slipped and sent my hand into the fan and broke one of the plastic blades! The fan was imbalanced and it sounded HORRIBLE. I tried EVERYTHING to get the blade back on, yet it was impossible to replace.

I tried to just put up with it. It may have done some damage to the motherboard but I hope not. I eventually had the idea to use ABIT OC Guru to turn the speed down so it wouldn't vibrate like crazy. Still, after long game sessions or any time when it had pegged at 100%, it would go nuts and sound horrible.

I thought it had gotten a bit better and didn't notice any problems until I had taken it to someone's house. On the long car ride (and ride back), the fan was jostled up a bit and came loose from the mobo. In the midst of playing Battlefield: Pirates, it almost destroyed itself :O

Just last week I decided to stop being a lazy jerk and spend some money to buy a new one. I searched all over, and the only major online site that stocked them (or so it appeared) was TigerDirect. They were around $30 and I think that didn't include shipping.

Of course I kept looking being the cheap jerk I am, and I finally found some on eBay! I hate to make this sound like a plug of some sort, but I swear, I honestly do, that I have no affiliation with this guy who i bought this fan off of. I assume he has a connection with someone from intel and can sell the fans off cheap.

Either way, you can find the prescott series Socket-T (LGA775) HSF from this one man for $12 + $4 shipping. It's the best $16 I've spent in a while and I was really happy! It's not like his product was better than the original fan I had, but it seemed like a smart way to replace it.

<3 ebay

I swear it isn't a plug.. I swear :O
