Decades of the AF Academy simply hushing those who break the rules instead of punishing led to a condition in which corruption was commonplace. Suddenly the floodgates opened and all these are spilling out.
Hopefully they wont be able to ignore or hush it anymore and will lead to the same massive upheavals of change the Navy Academy went through a decade earlier and will end for the better.
