The weapon was pointed at the floor, and any spatter or cratering would have been off-camera. Also, bullet wounds don't produce the gout of blood you see on TV; unless it's a headshot, the blood just leaks out ( or sprays if you hit an artery ) just like a bad cut. Exceptions, obviously, are frangible and high-velocity rifle bullets. A good hollowpoint might not even have exited his leg, depending upon the angle at which he was shot.
This tape's authentic. DEA has been in an uproar ever since, threatening to sue the camera operator for allegedly compromising the agent's identity.
