Awesome name!
Hah, I've found many ways to make money. I don't think other methods have been divulged in this thread yet, but...
In Orgrimmar, there's an alchemy merchant that sells a Superior Healing Pot recipe for 1.3 gold. You can EASILY sell it at the AH (right up the street, haha) for twice that. Same applies for pretty much every other higher level recipe. Buy out the vendor, jack up the price at the AH.
If you have enough money, buy out ALL stacks of cheap herbs at the AH and resell for a higher amount. There's been stacks of kingsblood on my server from someone who sells for 19s. They normally go for 60-80s. If you have enough gold (say, around 10g) you could buy out ALL the stacks and completely dictate their new prices. It may take a while to sell sometimes, but you make a killing and don't really have to do much for it. Sometimes someone will try to undercut you by 10-15s on an item, so simply buy it out and resell it - control the prices!
Another thing you can do is buy out common rare items (like Gem Studded Belt that sells for 3-4g) and raise the price by 1 or 2g. Most people that buy these low level rare items are those who have higher lvl chars that just send money to other chars they are leveling up ... and won't really care about paying a bit more
So far the only potion I've come across that you can make pure profit on is greater healing pots. A stack of kingsblood and a stack of liferoot will run you about 1.3 - 1.6 g (sometimes very cheap like mentioned above). 4 stacks of 5 pots @ 80s each will get ya 3.2g - and they sell quite fast. The only downtime is when you purchase up all the herbs and need to wait until someone puts more up.
It's trivial income, but income none the less, especially for lower level chars that have a hard time saving up. Best part is you really don't have to work for any of it
