I don't think it's less harsh, but I like the hardness of cunt. I suppose I should clarify that I like the idea of reclaimed language. I call my genital area my cunt, I call myself a queer and I have girlfriends that call themselves bitch. To me, it's the same type of word.
I just think that pussy is degrading. I like kittens and all, but having my bits called after them doesn't seem to fit. And, unlike most of you I suppose, I hear "pussy" being used as an insult way more than cunt. *shrugs*
