Don't worry, Supple Cow. When I got mine, my sister suggested that we have a party in which we poked holes in jelly-filled dougnuts and squeezed out the red jelly to celebrate my period. My sister made fun of me from outside the bathroom, while I tried in agony to jam a tampon in for the first time. :/
