I would consider it settled if Cheney didn't still receive, every year, a flat fee from Haliburton. It is not a salary, so it is not a position of influence, technically. All legal. And if you
really believe that Cheney has nothing to do with the deal, then you are either a blind optimist or...there's nothing else, you must be a blind optimist. He's the vice president, for god's sake, to one of the least capable presidents in history.
