Hey guys, this is my first post in these forums
. I'm a big follower of BC politics and really know the insides of what's happening because my roommate is involved with the BC liberals. Now I will be voting for Gordon Campbell and the liberals and I'll tell you why. First they've done a really good job getting our province back into shape. When they took over things were really bad and now they're really starting to look up. Second they haven't had any big problems like we have seen the NDP have such as Bingogate and other scandals. I think the advertising is a big problem for voters. We're constantly bombarded by ads funded by unions which give us half-truths such as the hospital and school commercials. The hospital commercial desides to leave out all the hospital openings, renovations, and increases in services at many hospitals. The commercials just like to make things out as doom and gloom with all the closures. If you have a small hospital 20 minutes away from a semi-large city it just makes sense to close the small one down. It saves a lot of money. As for the school closure commericial paid for the teachers, it manages to leave out the fact that there are less students, new schools are being opened in expanding areas and closed in contracting ones. The liberals have increased funding for k-12 education every year when enrollment has been dropping. That means a huge increase in per capita spending. That's really all I can think of now. Being a student at UVic I hear too much crap from the hippies
