I have to admit, I tried a tri-tip steak just because I read this recipe a while ago. I didn't prepare it kebob-style, just marinated and grilled it. I thought it was probably the worst cut of meat I've ever bought. Incredibly tough, even rare.
I will still try this recipe, but I'll use something different meat wise.
