My friend and i bought a loaf of french bread and a package of thin sliced lunchmeat. The night before our trip, she sliced the bread into thick pieces and put it in a ziplock bag. The enxt day in the car, the bread was too thick for a regular sandwhich, so we poked a few slices of turkey into the soft middle and folded it up like a taco. Worked really well. You may want to try frozen grapes or go-gurt (if it still exists). Go-gurt is yogurt in a tube that comes in lots of flavors. I only liked it frozen. Chex mix is my crunchy snack of choice. Frozen juice boxes (or capri suns) are good too because they double as ice packs and you can have slushies!
