I used to be best friend with this guy back in elementary and junior high school, but I had to move away.
I didn't see him again until a few years ago for the first time and we tried to arrange a hang out or something like that. So, when I went out with him to do some bar hopping, I found out that he takes hard drugs. I didn't do any drug at that time but I knew that it was obvious that he went down on the wrong road. He used to be a good kid but now...he's a nobody without a high school diploma and working at Mcdonalds for 5 bucks an hour wage while I'm working toward to my degree, working at a high tech software company for Co-op during the day and working at Fedex during the night.
It's like what some of us said, people part ways. You can be best friend with somebody for a few years and then all of sudden, something changes and you'll never be best friend again.
It's the hard facts of life. Change is constant. Nothing is forever.
