Before you go off buying yourself new parts, ask yourself this question: What do I want to use the computer for?
If Multimedia (Movies, Pictures, etc) then go with Pentium 4. If gaming, go with AMD.
As for your hard drive, if you want a really fast system, a 2MB cache might be a bottleneck for your performance. Don't take my word since I'm not much of a hardware geek.
