I'm not sure of the technical name for a wound care specialist, but you could try going down a list of doctors in the yellow pages for your area. Wound care centers specialize in wounds that don't heal, mostly due to other factors such as diabetes and supressed immune system from cancer or HIV or something like that. But, you could check them out, because this definitely sounds like something that is not healing. If you left it alone for a year and it didn't heal, then you have a MAJOR problem, not just some cut that won't go away. This is your body telling you that something is definitely wrong down there! Anyway, try a different OBGYN, and try the wound care center- and when they ask you how it happened tell them it was because of the acid, you think- perhaps if they know what your previous doctor did wrong they can know the best way to treat it!
