I enjoy going to play pool for first dates. You're out in public, but still kind of alone. You can have a drink or two to help loosen up. It's easy enough to talk to each other since it's not usually too loud, but any silences aren't that bad since you're actually doing something.
Just don't be a hotshot and beat her horribly every game. If you are better than her, just lower your skill level to the point where you're winning somewhere close to 50% of the games. It'll keep things competitive, but still friendly.
Coffee at a coffee shop is also nice. Great for a short date. It's pretty much all conversation, so try to think of a funny story or two beforehand. And don't let it drag on too long.
Movies are kind of alright. The big problem is that you can't really talk to your date during a movie. And you can't really put any "moves" on her without looking like a horny 14 year old. But if you combine the movie with coffee afterwards, it gives you something else you can talk about.
