Not a found in food experience, but something along the same lines.
I was doing electrical work for a slightly upscale hotel in my area when it happened. We were installing a new range top oven in a spot that was at the moment occupied by a prep cart. So...we pulled out the prep cart and out ran a swarm of roaches. I mean thousands of them. Little bitty babies and old fat grandaddys. I jumped on my ladder because they were running over my boots to escape the light. And then they were gone!
I told the manager and simply recieved "oh".
Moral? Never eat at the Odessa Elegante Hotel.
