Supreme weirdness with my soundcard...UPDATE: FIXED!!!

Booted up today and went to my usual winamp playlist...and I get the following error message:

Quote:
DirectSound output v2.2.11 error
Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration.
Error code: 88780078
Curious, I went into the Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devices and got nothing! No Audio Devices, no playback or recording devices. Then I right click My Computer --> Hardware --> Device Manager....nothing. Device manager completely blank. I try to reinstall drivers for my Creative Sound Blaster Audigy LS and reboot a couple times, still nothing. This is really weirding me out, should I try physically reinstalling my soundcard?

OS: Windows XP SP 2
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHZ
Motherboard: MSI Motherboard
RAM: 512 MB of idontknowwhat
HD: 120 GB hard drive 50 free GB

I'll be glad to post any more info if needed! Thanks guys!

EDIT: I have no sound at all, it's not just confined to winamp.
