Insanely bored one night about 2 years ago I subjected myself to the MSN.com chat rooms, and actually found some people hanging out in an area chat room that were local to me. Just started mouthing off and somebody dropped the question if anybody knew how to make a cross-over cable, I dropped the answer back to her in a PM and apparently I was the only one that got it right (even though there were 3 dudes with CSIS degrees in the room). Once we had each others attention one thing led to another and I drove 70 miles to meet her, we talked about 2 hours and ended up in bed.
The fun part of this one was that we became friends and she actually got me a job with the company that she was working for, got fired and we started dating, things went to shit and now we barely talk. All over a stupid cross-over cable.
I've met a couple other people, some that I'm even still friends with, but that's the fun story, I can say that I've never really had a bad experience.
