I didn't mean to jump on your post, and I agree totally with what you say.
However (I don't read the newspaper & rarely listen to it) I don't think there are more than a hundred people who have been killed this way. That totally sucks for the hundred or so it's happened to, but the fact is that it probably isn't going to happen, especially if you aren't right in the problem area, what they call the Sunni triangle (I think).
Your chances of being killed in an auto accident are probably ten times better than being abducted & beheaded. Someone can probably prove me wrong, but there are a hundred thousand troops over there and thousands of contractors. This has happened to a very small percentage.
