Theres a girl i've became really good friends with on AIM over almost 3 years or so. I met her while playing The Sims Online (online mass multiplayer game). We've exchnaged pictures, webcammed, talked on the phone, etc. We live in completely differant parts of the country, and both still live with our parents so it would be difficult to just fly down to see her. My folks know I talk to her, but I don't think they realize how "serious" of a friendship it is. But we definitly plan to meet hopefully this summer somehow. I have no idea what kind of relationship we'd have if we met/lived closer. We've often talked about dating, but I don't know how serious she is about that. I would love to go out with her.
A couple past girlfriends I got to know mostly by talking to them online. Both of them lived in my area, and I met them in person at first, but most of our conversation took place online untill we started going out.
I really hate talking on the phone, and would much rather talk to somebody online than call them up. I look foward to the day when "Hey whats your screen name" replaces "Hey whats your number." I honestly believe that will be the case, probably fairly soon. I just hope i'm still young enough to enjoy it
