I then logged back in to play on alt on Gorefiend and I downloaded the patch from a few days ago again. Granted, it said version 2 but I am still unable to play. All of the servers went down today for scheduled maintenance. Most were supposed to be up at 2 PM EST and some were supposed to be down until 5 PM EST for "extended" maintenance. To my utter horror (and thousands of others) the servers were not brought back up at their planned times. It was around 5 PM before ANY servers were brought back up and the extended servers are still down at 8 PM. My GF was sick today and didn't go to work so that left us an ENTIRE day to play WoW...and the servers have been down for 11 hours for "maintenance!"
Damn, I'm starting to sound like all the fanboys on the WoW forums. Well I truly am pissed! This is the last day of my Easter break and dammit I wanted to make it count.
