/begin rant about ranters
I honestly do not understand what everybodys problem is with Microsoft and Bill Gates.
Is it because they make a lot of money?
Maybe you're all just jealous.
Is it because they are smart with their marketing?
Thats certainly no reason to hate somebody. That just shows how great of a company they are.
Is it because they create some imperfect products?
Well welcome to real life. There isn't a single company in the world who creates perfect products. It just so happens that the imperfection in Windows is the blue screen of death, viruses, and freezing - all of which can be very easily avoided if you have any clue what you're doing. I haven't encountered any of the 3 in years. I don't even have a virus scanner!
Everybody bitches about how horrible Microsoft and Bill Gates is, but then they turn around and play their X-Box and boot up their PC without even thinking twice about it. Correct me if i'm wrong, but most of the time when somebody hates a company, don't they try to boycot it? Don't they hate the products a company produces as well and choses NOT to use them and support the "evil company"? It isn't like Microsoft is a monopoly, theres always Apple computers or Linux that you could go to.
And another thing. What the hell is this stuff about Bill Gates being the devil? Are you fucking kidding me? Bill Gates is one of the most generous guys alive. Do you have any idea how much money he has donated to charity? And you do realize that he even RUNS his own charity (which has about 28 billion dollars right now, by the way, most of which was contributed by Mr Gates himself) that strives to improve world health and education, right?
It actually really pisses me off that so many people (not just the people who posted here) can have such hard feelings for a man without even knowing why, or considering how great he has made everybodys lives. People here are the first ones who should agree with that, seeing as their sitting on their asses in front of most likely a Windows operated system.
