Inside this board, there are multiple opinions, as well as personalities. The "Local" debate crew tend to walk a fine line (and are quite good at it) and the moderation staff is left to decide when the line is crossed. We are far from perfect but have , I would hope, managed to keep a tone of respect in here without stifling the debate process. The post(s) in question here are understood by the members involved in the debate to be vieled in Jest, and are therefor relatively harmless, they may in fact add to the debate when considered in context.
Had we considered any of this exchange to be Racist, Bigotted, or disrespectful, We would have addressed it directly (as I am sure most here will attest). We do however, allow for more discretionary moderation inside this forum, as it has proven essential to freedom of debate.

That said.....if the exchanges in here force you into lurk mode, so be it, Politics has never been for the easily offended.
