Muckluck, a 1.6GHz Sempron (2800+) will perform similarly to a 1.5GHz Pentium M. They trade many benchmarks. If systems were equal the Pentium M would have slightly better battery life, but that involves so many other factors. I don't doubt the m700 (made by Wistron) would be nicer but similar options would bump the cost to ~$1200 even at current sale prices.

Seriously? That's pretty impressive. AMD does a really good job at making a budget CPU then. I mean a 2.6 Ghz Celeron can't touch a Pentium M CPU, unless I am mistaken again? The only celerons I used where P2 era celerons and a 1.3 Ghz celeron. Worst CPU ever.
