Agreed, Summit is a very good coach, but I don't think it is fair to compare her with Dean Smith. There is so much more parity in men's college basketball than there is in women's, and just looking at the men's tournament this year proves it. Bottom line is, Pat Summit, while a great coach, won most of her games with a team of college superstars that could only be matched by the women of UConn. Dean Smith did more with less.
