when it comes down to it, i'm not so concerned with how many teenagers out there are having sex at what ages..
what does concern me is weither or not these kids are being responsable about it.. or at least not stupid
sex ed classes these days are a joke, theres no real education. it seems to me, that these classes aren't teaching anything these kids don't already know. What new information is there, is being taught in such a way that the students don't WANT to learn.
We all remember those horrible movies being shown in class.. the ones in crappy color and some white guy with an affro, who happened to knock somebody up, or contract some disease. After going through those sex ed classes, i never wanted to hear the words "gee wiz" ever again
if these classes were updated, using a little bit of common sense, i think it could help some of the problems we're having today. society can be as conservative and prudish as it wants, except in the area of education. if we aren't teaching, then they sure as hell aren't learning
