I wouln't go for a DLP even tho the blacks on DLP are alot truer then a LCD(which is a little gray but you can't really tell unless its beside a tube or DLP tv). the main colors red, green and blue look great on lcds if you want to see it for yourtself take the movie finding nemo to your local sony retailer and put the dvd on a 42,50,55,60 sony lcd rear proj. (all with DVI inputs) the blue color in the water is mind blowing. my main concern with DLP's is the 13,000 mirrors and the color wheel that are constenly moving. but in the sony lcd all you really have to worry about is the blub and that can be changed by you easly. For speakers sony does have a few nice home theatre package for cheap. but if you can find it there is a really nice home thatre package made by wharfdale an english company. called the moviestar70+ comes with four about head size bookselves speakers a centre and a 8" inch power sub. the package sounds great for the price which is about $500can. teamed up with a yamaha receiver any of the ones above and including the rxv-750 that come with a mic to tune your room for the best sound.
