I've made a note of never smoking, so I don't know what it's like to quit aside from a number of friend's laments.
You said you were thinking of going to the gym, I think that's a great idea. Working out takes your mind off of things suprisingly well, and giving yourself yet another reason to care about your body never hurts either.
I commend you on how well you've done so far, and have no doubts you'll make it even farther, as far as you want. Hopefully forever.
