A refular family practitioner can look in there, or an internist. They may not know exactly what it is, but they should be able to tell you what kinds of test to get.
And I'm sure a lot of gynos are used to women who aren't comfortable with men, and so are good at soothing their fears. The chiropractor I go to is totally non-sexual, which I think is deliberate since he works on college-age men and women. So, I'm sure a gyno would be equally as sensitive to the issue.
