not necessarily. in general, most videophiles will go with DLP over LCD, but LCD has closed the gap a lot recently and neither technology is perfect... it's more of a 'pick your poison' situation. personally, i just bought an LCD projector and couldn't be happier. i don't see any screen-door effect or vertical banding (two problems previously common in LCD projectors).
