The sight may have some secondary attatchement, like spot welding to the gun. If you want to keep the sight intact i would try tapping it off with a mallet. Is the gun used? If so someone may have used loctite to secure the sight, this can be romoved by simply dipping it in boiling water. I hope this helps.
