Dude, (I hate starting a sentence that way). Make sure the admin has given permissions to share.
On each machine, click the drive to access, click sharing, tell msoft you understand, then follow through. Oh, make sure file/printer sharing is installed in the "network connection" properties where you find tcp/ip. Goto start, (in xp), mouse up to "my computers", highlight, (dont click), the drive you want, then right click properties. Follow the sharing instructions. You should be cool.
