I would disagree. I am not impatient, but I like to get things done right away. I also have to deal with the fact that those around me who may not be living forever, are bound to my actions, and my inactions. By your quote I figured that you would have the same idea.
Also, Yes you would be living in perfect health, because prolonged life most likely endows enhanced knowledge. Knowledge of oneself most certainly would come along before incapacity set in. Or you could just wait for technology to advance to the point where if this problem was not previously dealt with, it would be then.
