I'm trying a different approach now; seeing how far I can get without buying any cars or modifications. It's going pretty well so far. Get a Subaru Legacy. Go to the rally track, I forget which one it's the Mediterranean one, win both races, sell the rally car they give you for 265k. Repeat until desired.
Although my best car currently I got for winning some races. It's a Nissan with 910 BHP and a power to weight ratio of 1.477.
