I learned that you can grow out of bands that you thought you wouldn't able to keep up with when you joined. Today I had a rehearsal which just ended up frustrating me. Everyone was slowing down in the band and just wouldn't listen to the leader or my banging away at the piano, slightly ahead of the beat

A year ago I never thought I'd be up to their level.
