i remember the Banana Splits Theme as well, and I'm always reminded of it when I hear Bob Marley's Buffalo Soldiers. Next time you hear it, you'll know what I mean.
As for best theme songs, 3 jump to mind. Hawaii 5-O, Rockford Files and Get Smart.
