Shit okay I'm gonna be all over this thread really.
First ANY of the guitar solos David Gilmour does are my favorite parts of Pink Floyds songs...Also on "The Final Cut" where David sings "Theres a kid who had a big hallucination!" I love that part.
Rush 2112 the Sililoquy portion where he just busts out and goes "JUST THINK OF WHAT MY LIFE MIGHT BE!! IN A WOOOOORLD LIKE I HAVE SEEN! I DON'T THINK I CAN CARRY ON! CARRY ON THIS COOOOLD AND EMPTY LIFE......OOO OOH NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" and then one of the most gut wrenching kick ass guitar solo's I've ever heard comes in and owns my ears(Alex Lifeson love him!). The entire Silioquy segment yes.
Supertramp - Don't Leave Me Now guitar solo and on O Lord Is It Mine? the chorus.."When everythings dark! And nothing seems right. You don't have to win and theres no need to fight" then it goes "So give us an answer won't you?! There must be a thousand voices tryiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing to get through" So awesome.
Pearl Jam - Black "Oooo ooo ooo ooo oh I'm spinnin! Hoow oow quick the sun caaaan drop awaaaaaaaaay ee ay ee ay ee ay ee ay ee ay and now my bitter hands!...."
Counting Crows - Round Here "You says she's tired of life SHE MUST BE TIRED OF SOMETHING ROUND HERE!!!!" In the live version he says "SHE MUST BE FUCKIN TIRED OF SOMETHING!!" It's crazy haha....On Anna Begins "And everytime she sneezes I believe it's love and oooh oo oh oh I'm not ready for this sort of thing." On Miami towards the end where he sings "So come on baby yeah! Come on baby hey ay yeah!.." that whole ending sequence I love it I sing it at the top of my lungs. Many many other parts of their music.
Travis - Luv where he sings "So whats so wrong why the face sooooo loooong? Are you changing?"
Queen - Born To Be Kings "We've got to be the rulers of you aaaaaaaaaalllll!!!!!!!" YES! Love Of My Life "Bring it back! Bring it back! Don't take it away from me because you don't knooooow...what it means to me! Love of my life! Love of my liiiiiife! oooooh oooooh (harp outtro)" love it! Somebody To Love - "Everybodies tryin to bring me down!! etc. etc." Who Wants To Live Forever "Who dares to love foreeeeeeevaaaar?!!!!!"
Damien Rice - The Blowers Daughter "I can't take my mind off of you! I can't take my mind off of you! I can't take my mind off of you..I can't take my mind off of you..I can't take my mind off of you...." Cold Water when Lisa Hannigan kicks in and sings "Love..ones..daughter..allow me that" On I Remember where Damien kicks in and sings "I wanna hear! What you have to say about me! Hear!! If you're goin to live without me...." etc. It's awesome.
The Beatles - The Long And Winding Road "Don't leave me waiting here. Lead me to your doooooooooooooooooooor!!!! Yeah yeah yeah yeah!" and then it ends. One of the best endings I've heard.
Gavin Degraw - Belief...I basically like the chorus especially towards the end of the song.
Okay the ultimate...Aerosmith - Dream On "Dream on! Dream On! Dream On! Dream On!...DREAM ON! DREAM ON! DREAM ON! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHH AHHHH AHHH AHHHH AHHH AHHH!!!!!!!!!!!"
Bad Company - Running With The Pack...towards the end where the piano kicks in and Paul starts singing "You can't hold down! You can't HOLD me back! I'm movin on! Movin out! Yeah yeah heah heah!"
Blues Travler - Look Around, Just Wait...The guitar solo's.
Bread - If "Then one by one the stars would all go out...And you and I would siiiiimply flyyyyy awaaaaaaay" Lost Without Your Love "If we had love before...we can have it back once more" Aubrey "But God I miss the girl and I'd go a million times around the world just to be...closer to her than to meeee" beautiful
Cat Stevens - Father And Son "If they were right. I'd agree but it's them they know not me now theres a way and I know that I have to go away..I know..I have to go."
Jason Mraz - Absolutely Zero the very last chorus line the way he sings "happen to me" during "So who am I? To say this situation isn't great when my time to make the most of it. How could we ever know that this could happen to me..Not that easy no..no no no no. If all along the fault is up for grabs why can't you have it? If it's for sale go make your offer I will sell it for not less than what I bought it for. PAY NO MORE THAN ABSOLUTELY ZEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Love love" That last note is just awesome. Boy can he sing.
Jim Croce - I Got A Name "Like the fool I am and I'll always be! I got a dream! I got a dream!"
Lifehouse - Quasimodo "Cause I don't want it! I don't want it!"
Los Lonely Boys - Dime Mi Amor "Oh baby! Cause you know I'ma stand by my woman!"
Ours - Sometimes, Fallen Souls...what else? The screams!!
Rufus Wainwright - Natasha ...toward the end where he sings the last note during the chorus "Oh Natasha..All I can do..Is write a song..for you..Naaataaaaaaashaaaaaaaaa" and then the string arrangements end the song it's actually quite beautiful.
Silverchair - Anthem "Maybe we don't wanna live in a world where you you can't at ALL!!!!!!!!!!!" at least I think thats what he's saying. Steam Will Rise..the chanting outtro....Tuna In The Brine..the final bridge where he sings "Closer now then we ever have been we're closer now than we ever should be we're closer now than we ever been before, closer to everything..." all the way to the end where it gets to my fave part "So all of the animals who..Keep sippin the sweat from my back! You're making me ill and I can't get enough..so take another pill, and tell another lie, and lie amongst your lies..like tuna in the brine." Too Much Of Not Enough "You'll never stop needing, you'll never stop needing, and it's good for nothing ooh oooh ooh oooooooh oooooh oooooh" My Favorite Thing "Blind the deafen moon..stimulate the tombs of angels" then of course the way Daniel ends that song is just amazing.
I'll stop there for now and think of more by tommorow.
Asta!!
