Curious, do you happen to have that site in the Allowed Sites under the Tools>Options>Web Features>Block Popup Windows? You should check, you may have allowed that site by accident a long time ago. I'm using Firefox 1.0 and I checked out all the sites that were listed as having popups and not a single window popped up.
